Providing a well-rounded education
High School Academics
Implementing “a Christ-centered, educational environment that equips students to develop character, demonstrate competence and discover their calling” for High School students is our goal and the key to developing students academically and spiritually.
We strive for High School students at HCA to…
- Engage in lifelong commitments to always learn, continue to serve others and obey God
- Develop their character, responsibility and independence
- Apply their knowledge & Biblical worldview in higher education and a future career
Our instruction focuses on strategies that engage students in the learning process and promote higher-level thinking while meeting individual learning needs.
Teachers utilize both formal and informal evaluations in the classroom to assess student achievement and an understanding of stated objectives in each subject.
In addition, we administer standardized tests yearly to monitor student learning over time.
We teach students how to filter each subject through ‘Discipleship Themes’ and Scripture to form the foundation of a Biblical worldview.
