Students at HCA participate in service projects at many levels. Students in lower elementary through 8th grade have various different service opportunities including visiting area nursing homes at Christmas to sing and bring small gifts, assisting with food drives by collecting, sorting and packing food, and raising money or awareness for other ministries.
Secondary students starting in the 9th grade participate in local mission trips and students in the 10th through 12th grade can participate in mission trips in other states or abroad. Three mission trips are required for graduation. This helps students develop a servants’ heart and teaches them to be unselfish givers of their time and demonstrate a Christ-like attitude towards service.
